Tea Party Wedding Inspiration

April 7, 2012

Hi loverlies! I cannot believe I haven’t shared this session with you on the blog yet!  I collaborated with several very amazing people in Savannah to bring you this amazingly beautiful inspiration shoot, including Audrey Wagner of French Knot Weddings, Lynn Coombe Clifton of Lillian’s China and more!

Before I show you the entire session, I want to extend a BIG THANK YOU! to Emma for showcasing our lovely session on her amazing DIY wedding blog, Emmaline Bride.  If you are planning a wedding and are not familiar with this blog, go familiarize yourself NOW – its got lots of great imagery and tips!!

Audrey and I were initially inspired by Lynn’s extensive antique china collection that she started for her own daughter’s wedding.  Very smartly, she has decided to rent out her collection for weddings and parties under the name of Lillian’s China, in honor of her grandmother.  Isn’t that the sweetest thing?

Audrey is a genius and dreamt up this amazing wedding arch that we very delicately covered with the china.  We wanted the session to have a vintage tea party feel but in order to keep it fresh, we focused on the bold bright colors of the china.

The amazing Michele of Madame Chrysanthemum created the bouquet and floral centerpiece of the dessert table.  She is the most imaginative florist around and made us happy by tucking butterflies and snails into her designs.

My beautiful friends Michelle and Aaron modeled for us and the amazing girls at BleuBelle Bridal loaned us the gorgeous gown by Paloma Blanca.  The pleating detail on this dress was my absolute fave.

Audrey also created all the accessories including the sash, veil headband, tie and boutonniere,  Like I said, she is a creative genius for weddings so please go to her for all your detail, accessory and decor needs, she can do ANYTHING!

Loren Laney from Femme Fatale Salon did the hair and makeup for Michelle.  He is a sweetheart, super professional and super fun.  He even came along to make sure Michelle was styled to perfection all during the shoot.  I highly recommend him for your engagement session and wedding!!  Thanks Loren!

A big huge high five to Audrey, Lynn, Loren, Michelle, Aaron, Madame Chrysanthemum and myself for channeling all our creative energies into the successful completion of this project.  I think we did awesome, do you?!  Would you like to see more of these types of inspiration shoots from us?….because we can’t wait to do them!
