Jordan & Cory – Kualoa Ranch Wedding – Destination Wedding Photographer

October 7, 2017

I came to know the beautiful Jordan Sprinkle through our wedding industry in Savannah.  She’s a majorly talented hair stylist at B Street Salon. We had done many styled shoots and weddings together.  I desperately adored her and wanted to be her friend and sit at her cool kid table.  I’ll never forget the day that she was doing my hair for a local event. She sheepishly looked up at me and asked, “what would it take for you to photography my destination wedding in Hawaii?”  I nearly died.  I’m pretty sure I had gone speechless for a few moments but then managed to utter out something along the lines of duh, NOTHING ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ASK ILL BE THERE NO MATTER WHAT.

Then I got to know Cory a bit better from doing their engagement session and hanging out at different Savannah goings on.  It became clear to me pretty fast that he also desperately adored miss Jordan Sprinkle and watching the two of them together was a treat.

A smart girl, Jordan also enlisted the help of my bestie, Audrey, of French Knot Studios to style her dream destination wedding.  I got lots of hints of what to expect in terms of flowers and decor and as the summer approached, I couldn’t contain myself from all the excitement of what was to come.

Get ready for whimsical visual treat – lots of bright tropical flowers and foliage, agate & crystal boutonniers, a dreamy landscape and people so beautiful, you’ll want to sit at their cool kid table too.

I knew I fell in love with Cory the day I met his mother. In my opinion, the way a man treats his mother is the way he will treat his wife but with even more love. Cory absolutely adores his mother and now I know he absolutely adores me and there is no better man that I should be with.

We personalized our wedding with a very traditional Hawaiian ceremony that was performed by a Kahuna Nui which means high priest. The ceremony involves a welcome chant, asking for Akua’s (God, Supreme Creator/Creative Force) blessing, traditional vows and exchanging of leis. Every detail of the ceremony was a moment to remember.

The speeches from my father, MoH and Best Man were definitely some of my favorite moments. Lots of tears and tons of laughing and knowing that these important people have a lot of faith in us.

Now these two beauties have created the most gorgeous child.  Little Cruz is only a few months behind Xavier. (And his cousin Sylas, who was also made on this trip, teehee).  So we have a trifecta of Hawaii boy babes and its the best.  Cannot wait for these three to be friends!  Thank you Jordan and Cory for including me and Martin in your epic destination wedding in Hawaii! It will forever hold a special place for us!
