Ingrid & Juan – Halloween Wedding – Jekyll Island

October 30, 2016

Happy Halloween weekend! I know I’m not supposed to have favorites, but Ingrid and Juan and their Halloween wedding last year on Jekyll Island definitely hold a special place in my little heart.  I’ve been waiting a whole year to show off their magical, mystical day.  Now that the season is appropriate, I finally can!

When you have two creative, old souls who’d rather have a date in a cemetery than at the movies, you know you’re going to be in for a spooky treat.  Plus, I just love couples that create their wedding to reflect who they are, no matter how different, quirky or unusual.  I say, bring on the strange!

Ingrid drew her inspiration from Day of the Dead and Marie Antoinette, creating a visual feast of the macabre, color and whimsy.  From her skeleton dress hanger to her golden bunny heels, every detail was perfect.

Ingrid designed a beautiful booklet explaining all of the rituals and symbols used in their ceremony – in Spanish and English.Halloween wedding Jekyll Island wedding Savannah Charleston wedding photographerHalloween wedding Jekyll Island wedding Savannah Charleston wedding photographerHalloween wedding Jekyll Island wedding Savannah Charleston wedding photographerAs a silly surprise, a friend dressed in a bear costume delivered the wedding bands – it was hysterical and perfect.
