Emily & Jono have a serendipitous love story. Although they grew up in neighboring towns, they never knew each other. Years later, they met and fell in love while both living in London. Avid travelers & adventurers, they lived a bohemian lifestyle before setting in Charleston, SC. When planning their whimsical wedding, they knew they wanted to treat their guests to a magical destination. So they chose Savannah since Emily had studied at SCAD. She wanted everyone to experience the enchanting town she fell in love with!
Emily & her girls got ready at one of my favorite houses, the wedding cake mansion. Emily has such great style and her bridal look did not disappoint. Not only was her floral headpiece a dream, but her delicate Alice Temperley gown was its perfect counterpart.
Emily & Jono did a First Look at The Mansion on Forsyth where their reception would later be held. I love this staircase in the attached restaurant, 700 Drayton, for its crystal chandelier and vibrant paintings!
My favorite part about Emily & Jono’s whimsical wedding were the colorful florals! Emily’s bouquet is probably my favorite ever. The colors & varying florals make me so happy!
I love bridesmaids in white! It makes a very fresh and clean canvas for all the bright bouquets!
Emily talk’s about her inspiration for her wedding:
“Living in London for 4 year, Australia before that, and Italy before that, I feel like I drew inspiration from cultures more so than a blog. I love the English and Italian gardens. I also love that they can have an exceptionally elegant party, in a glorious location, yet still have it feel casual. That was my biggest inspiration.”
